Making Bunnies for Charity

Have you seen the free pattern for this stuffie bunny from LarkCrafts.com? Too cute, and I've been stitching some up for our Chicago Modern Quilt Guild's current Sew to Serve Chicago project, making kid sized quilts and stuffies for a local shelter that serves homeless children through Project Night Night.

I don't normally do much hand embroidery, and it's definitely not my best skill. So this has been a great opportunity to have some fun and get a little practice.

They are cute! And Fidget is hug-testing every one that I stuff to make sure it is "just right" before it's all finished.

Once again my comrades at the CMQG are totally blowing me away with their generosity. When we selected Project Night Night as a service project, I thought maybe we'd pull together 15-20 quilts and stuffies to donate, but to date our group has pledged to make 40 blankets and stuffies! Way to go Chicago quilters!
