The Scrappy Vintage Squares Quilt

I just finished this vintage scrappy squares quilt!.

Each block is made from 16 squares of scrap vintage fabric, and the 36 blocks are arranged in one big square separated by thin strips of vintage binding.

These scraps were from many sources; some was salvaged, some purchased from an antique store, some was thrifted, and some was gifted.

I quilted along the sides of the squares, and I like how the stitching kind of frames each square. It also made a nice pattern on the back.

Also on the back is the one lone block I had left over from the front. I know it is kind of busy, but I absolutely love looking at all the different bits and pieces. And! It's the perfect size for cuddling up on the couch, which I intend to do as soon as I'm finished typing! ;-)

Sweets, if this all you finish this year -- it is enough. I am over the moon for this quilt & could look at it for EVER. If I wasn't sure that Fidget loves it too, I *might* be tempted to swipe it.

I think it's fabulous! So much to explore, I'd never tire of just looking at it. What a treasure. Tons of work, I'm sure, but the end result is awesome!
