Hi Richardson, I cut the pieces in a hexagon shape, then sewed them up just like round yo-yo's. I pressed well before hand stitching together, and pressed after stitching, too. Give it a try!
Hi, Miss Sews-it-all - I'm so excited to find this - I've been trying to find information on a pretty old quilt - if that's what it is - made like this, and this is the first place I've found anything similar! I'm not a quilter, just came by this quilt when I had to clean out a friend's apartment. I'm pretty sure it was made by her Mom, and I'd guess that it's at least fifty years old. Anyone have any ideas on what would be the best thing to do with it?
Hey there md, it sounds like you have a fabulous yo-yo quilt! Is it something that you are keeping, or is it going to be given back to the family? If you want to keep the quilt, treat it with care.
