Snowed In!

Snow 01

Snow 02

We're all waking up and digging out.

Snow 03

Although our street was plowed throughout the night, we still have about 6" in the road this morning. My neighbor is plowing a path through the street.

Snow 06

Our little house has a huge drift of snow all the way up to the front door. The snow at the end of the driveway is 3 feet high.

Snow 07

This is our driveway looking out to the street.

And this is my snowy office window, my view out to the cold and snowy day.

Happy snow day!

Yep, we got it too! Your street looks just like mine, except we haven't seen a snow plot. I couldn't even open my storm door this morning to get out and shovel! Guess it's a good time to sew! Stay warm.

Oh that is so pretty. Looks like a good day to stay inside ans sew and maybe bake some bread. I like to bake bread when I get snowed in. We just got rain not nearly as pretty as the snow but I can get out of my road just fine.

being a Bay Area California girl... I cannot even wrap my around what it's like to live in the snow. But I CAN say "Wow! Those images are gorgeous!"

West Michigan Quilter - I hope you are plowed out by now! We're all dug out.

Eye_on_sparrow - Ugh! I'll take the snow over cold, icy rain anyday. ;-)

PuNk rAwK pUrL - Thanks! And snow can be fun! We wrapped our tot in her puffy pink snowsuit for a romp ouside, and she immediately started picking up chunks of snow and whipping them at us - laughing the whole time!

It is so crazy, we are finally dug out and it's 2:30 Chicago time! The wind made the snowfall kind of random and kicked up some giant snowdrifts. We ended up with about 6" snow in the front yard, but our entire back yard is full to the top of the fence with 3' of snow. It will take forever to melt this spring!

As PuNk rAwK pUrL said, the pics are beautiful. We usually have a little snow in PDX but one really this year. I would like a little, but not to the point of stopping activity.

Erika,
That last picture looks like a ghost howling like the wind from last night. Hope you guys are finally civilization accessible.
