Good News/Bad News
GOOD NEWS: I just got a phone call from my friend Carol who recognized a few very prominent photographs of mine in the new BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook on pages 10, 11 and 12!
And, I do remember (vaguely) answering a post from BurdaStyle months ago asking for submissions of sewing room photos for the book, even though I don't remember (and can no longer find) rules for the contest that say what would happen next.
BAD NEWS: I wasn't notified at all by BurdaStyle about my photos making it into the book, and if it wasn't for a friend recognizing my photo, I would still be in the dark.
As far as my credit for the photos, although the listing is CORRECT for my photo on page 10, the other two photos on pages 11 and 12 are incorrectly credited to someone else. Which kind of sucks.
Sadly, the excitement of being published in book form for the first time is a little overshadowed by disappointment, not only at having my work attributed to someone else, but by not even having the privilege of being one of the first to see it in print.
UPDATE:
2/6/2012
I have been in contact with someone from BurdaStyle who did check into the situation for me. There seems to be some confusion over why I wasn't notified, and BurdaStyle did apologize for the errors. My free copy of the book is in the mail, and I can't wait to see it in person.

On the bright side....thats an awesome pic of sewing room:)
The first time I was published they spelled my last name wrong (en vs. on) and that upset me for awhile too.
