NEW CLASS! Intro to Free-Piecing and Improv Patchwork
I'm offering a NEW CLASS during Evanston Art Center's Winter class session beginning in January!
In this 10-week class, learn to embrace the spontaneity and experimentation of free-piecing and improvisational patchwork quilting. Apply basic patchwork techniques (piecing, pressing, and trimming) to create several free-form blocks beginning with the beloved wonky triangle and working towards entirely free-pieced designs.
We'll begin exploring simple techniques in the first class session and build upon those skills in each additional class as we learn more advanced techniques. Each block you complete will be a tangible example of each technique, style, or idea explored. At the end of class, you will have a minimum of 8-10 quilt blocks completed.
One of the best things about teaching at the Evanston Art Center is the intimate class size; with only a handful of students, there's plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get one-on-one with the instructor! The only downside is that space is very limited, so register right away to reserve your spot.
Thursdays 9:30 AM for 10 weeks beginning on January 9th, 2025.
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON DECEMBER 20, visit the Intro to Free Piecing class page HERE to learn more. Please share with anyone interested in the opportunity to learn first-hand about improvisational patchwork quilting in an intimate, laid-back classroom setting.
